Immediately after the denouement of the Second World War the public commenced to consider that the world’s basic ethical foundations are simple and justifiable . Both general politics and social relations were relying on the ideas of development, good changes , belief in the rational , awareness , progress , and the knowledge of how to ground any activity from a logical standpoint . However , beginning from the second half of the 60’s, the world has begun to degrade and currently , 40 years after , we dwell in a different type of reality .
We easily notice all innovations which are given us by new technology, but we seldom come to realize the fact that there are concrete thoughts which the author has put behind those solutions . The essence of the future adjustment was first spotted by those people, who more often than not lived anteceding their time – writers and authors. Among the numerous authors whose poems have served for pleasure , there have been a few who have given the planet a new picture of the future . They have more effectively than others other authors molded and worded new suggestions and have finally done a fresh intelligent and perceptual grounding of the future. They have seen challenges in the mundane of our lives and have unveiled a set of problems, which were going on without being spotted . They have assisted us to think of the new problems , and have given us new ambitions .
These were the authors who have determined the vision of the entire generation, which has live through the times of dramatic change; change, which was seen as mayhem at the beginning of the 21 first century. They have attracted our attention to the most tormenting problems of the previous century; those problems , which the people , having gone through the world wars and unprecedented number of deaths, was afraid to face . Finally they were voicing the the most topical issue “How will we live in the world of future?”
In this work we will mention several of the most popular authors of the last century. They have all much influenced literature of their time, have manifested looks and problems which were typical to their people and the times they lived in, and have made the readers meditate on the existing system of moral, having them realize that it is far away from being flawless. One of the most interesting feature of their work is that in mostly they have risen the person’s attention in books and written matter. In this aspect one of the most exciting success stories is that of a well known author Lewis Carroll .
The achievement of Joan Rowling can be called special as she has found herself to be the first writer in the world to make $1 billion by authoring fairytales. She is today spending a great part of her profit on charity, confronting poverty and illness. The plot of the book was created while she was on the train from Manchester to London. When the publisher has first decided to bring out her book, she has awarded her 1500 pounds together with a friendly advice — to look for a permanent job. He was hesitant of the idea that the young writer would be able to make money of writing books. Joann has proved the opposite - having produced a series of exceptional fairytales, she has made the so-called non-reading people get back to reading.
This paper cannot enumerate and more or less precisely list all writers who have given their contribution to the today’s literature. They have been working and bringing ideas exactly into the heads of the millions, and in this way were influencing the future. Thus, as we can see, these authors were not writing for entertainment only, but they were also playing a significant part in shaping the culture and the views of a civilization of the 20th century.
